“From Thread to Gold”
In the Golden Age, wealthy citizens had their garments made from precious fabrics. Nowadays, tailor-made designs are called “couture”. Our country still owns a small number of couturiers, creating true works of art with their craft. One of them is Sepehr Maghsoudi.His couture pieces bear witness to the traditional way of working, that was common in the Golden Age. The unmistakable presence of contemporary designs makes this exhibition interesting for a wide audience. Five years after the retrospective exhibition “Gold Thread” in the Westfries Museum Hoorn, this exhibition shows recent work, next to masterpieces from earlier collections as well as his latest installation: Atmosphere.
